Literoma Tagore Fest 2024: A Day of Celebration and Literary Excellence

On June 16th, 2024, the Literoma Tagore Fest took place at Upasana Griha in Newtown. The event commenced with a grand inauguration by notable personalities including renowned music director Nilayan Chatterjee, RJ Aritra from FriendsFM, actor Kolaj Sengupta, and Reetwika Banerjee, the honorary program director of Literoma.

The festival featured the launch and discussion of books authored by Literoma writers, as well as the latest issue of Literoma’s in-house magazine, Culture Flash. The morning session was highlighted by Nilayan Chatterjee’s captivating musical performance, which left the audience spellbound.

One of the key segments of the fest was the Literoma Tagore Honour felicitations, which were presented in four distinct categories. Demonstrating a commitment to social responsibility, Literoma, in collaboration with the Public Safety & Security Council Bengal, donated dried and grafted mango seeds to supported NGOs, an initiative witnessed by the founders.

The afternoon session brought together popular actor Mr. Shoumo Banerjee and legendary voice artist Mr. Soumitra Basu for the unveiling of the book cover of ‘Aloukik’. This collectible print anthology features Literoma stories that have been broadcast on BigFM since 2020. Additionally, Mr. Shoumo Banerjee participated in a talk show focusing on the theme ‘Tagore and Romance’.

Following the talk show, selected authors from the ‘Literoma Tagore & Romance Compendium 2024’ were felicitated. The entire event was skillfully anchored by Reetwika Banerjee and Tamal Mukherjee, the founder of FHCC, in the presence of Literoma’s chief patron Subrata Bandyopadhyay and keystone member Aparna Banerjee.

Literoma Tagore Fest 2024 was a resounding success, celebrating the richness of literature and culture, and fostering a spirit of community and artistic collaboration.
