“SHEROES – 256 Inspiring Women From India” is a special book that honors the strength and courage of Indian women. It breaks stereotypes and celebrates the intelligence and bravery of its subjects. Dr. Siva Jasthi, Ahala Ayyalasomayajula, and Babu Dundrapelly worked together to make these stories come alive. This book is for everyone, young and old, to feel inspired. Let “SHEROES” encourage future generations to be brave and follow their dreams.
I want to thank Dr. Siva Jasthi for introducing me to this book. When I dived into it, I saw how big the project was. Picking out just 256 (S)HEROES from different backgrounds was a huge task. The team worked hard to gather and organize all this info. For me, learning about these amazing people was cool. The part about Sai Padma Garu, who was loved by many, is especially touching. Learning about her made me think about the responsibilities we all have in our society. The cute illustrations about every person surely bring a smile!
The book “SHEROES” is arranged in alphabetical order and grouped by what each person is great at. It talks about how women have done awesome things in many areas, especially in fine arts. It tells the stories of women who faced lots of problems but still came out on top. They include fighters for freedom, people who help society, writers, artists, athletes, and scientists—showing how strong and determined they are. This book is special because it brings together so many stories of talented women, each shining in her way.
A must-read!
